First Year

• Internal Medicine    (3 months)
• Pediatrics               (3 months)
• Obstetrics               (2 months)
• Surgery                  (2 months)
• Emergency Room   (1 month)
• Psychiatry               (1 month)
• One half-day per week in the Family Practice Center
• 3 Weeks Annual Leave
  

Second Year

• Internal Medicine*        (4 months)
• Pediatrics                     (2 months)
• Gynecology                  (1 month)
• Orthopedics                 (1 month)
• Neurology                    (1 month)
• Community Medicine    (1 month)
• ENT / Opthamology     (1 month)
• Elective                        (1 month)
• Two half-days per week in the Family Practice Center
• 4 Weeks Annual Leave

Third Year

• Internal Medicine*                                (3 months)
• Pediatrics                                              (1 months)
• Family Practice In Patient Service         (1 month)
• Dermatology                                         (1 month)
• Family Practice Out Patient Service       (1 month)
• Geriatrics/Urology                                 (1 month)
• Sports Medicine/Practice Management  (1 month )
• Emergency Medicine                             (1 month)
• Elective                                                 (2 months)
• Three half-days per week in the Family Practice Center
• 4 Weeks Annual Leave
  

*Internal Medicine includes critical care, pulmonary, cardiology, nephrology, and rheumatology.

Electives include any of the above rotations plus allergy and immunology and anesthesiology. Additional electives are available at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. Consideration will be given to those residents desiring to do electives elsewhere.

Scheduled Procedure Clinics:

• Colposcopy, Flexible sigmoidoscopy, Nasolaryngoscopy, Diabetic Foot Clinics.
