The Codemaster 100 Portable Defibrillator/Monitor
Basic Steps of Operation


  1. Select Energy Level
    1. Turn the Energy Select to the desired level
    2. Apply electrolyte paste while holding the paddles in one hand
    3. Apply paddles rubbing lightly against the skin to the apex and the sternum with 10 - 12 kg of pressure
  2. Charge
    1. Press charge button on Apex paddle or instrument front panel
    2. Clear away others
    3. Wait for the charge done light and tone (the Delivered Energy Display shows available energy in joules)
  3. Shock
    1. Adjust paddle pressure and placement to achieve optimum contact
    2. Stand clear and press discharge buttons simultaneously to deliver energy to patient

    Battery Life
  • A fully charged battery will provide a minimum of fifty 360-joule charge shock cycles or 2.5 hours of continuous monitoring.


  • A 2.5 amp-hour battery takes about 2 hours to charge while the 4.0 amp-hour takes about 3 hours.


  • Batteries must be charged in a charger separate from the device for the specified time.


  • Note: The primary difference between this defibrillator and that Codemaster XL+ is that the Codemaster 100 is a portable device meant to be transported
    wherever it is needed.
